Cerillion Technologies To Provide Converged National Billing Solution For Mongolia
London, 16th September 2003 – Convergent CRM and Event Based Billing specialist, Cerillion Technologies, has signed an agreement with Mobicom to provide a converged billing solution for mobile and fixed operations in Mongolia. The solution will deliver support for GSM, CDMA, Wireless Local Loop, ISP and VoIP business.
MobiCom Corporation is a joint-investment company with Mongolian and Japanese investors. Shareholders include Newcom (Mongolia), Sumitomo Corporation and KDDI Corporation. Mobicom began operations in 1996 as the first cellular telephone operator in Mongolia. Today Mobicom has a market share of over 80% and more than 200,000 subscribers. Mobicom has stayed at the forefront of mobile services and offers a wide range of Value added services such as prepaid and hot messaging.

Mobicom have a very widespread customer base in a huge country with some sales offices situated more than 2500 Km away from the capital, Ulaan Baatar. The use of in-country satellite links is not uncommon. Cerillion’s system and hardware configuration abilities are ideal for coping with just such a situation. We have already demonstrated this capability with our implementation in Greenland, another huge and sparsely populated country.”
