Manx Telecom Converges on Cerillion BSS Suite

London, 25th February 2015 – Cerillion Technologies, a leading provider of billing, charging and customer management systems, today announced a new contract with Manx Telecom to transform its business support systems (BSS) infrastructure to support fully convergent services across multiple network technologies. By upgrading to the latest version of Cerillion’s pre-integrated BSS suite, Manx Telecom will be able to offer a more flexible array of services to its customers, as well as achieving much lower operational costs by removing legacy charging systems.

The rollout of Cerillion’s Convergent Charging System (CCS) to support online charging for all voice, data and content services is a key part of Manx Telecom’s continued investment in its service architecture evolution programme. Cerillion will also deploy its Self Service module to enable Manx Telecom’s customers to buy and manage services online. The project is being implemented in close co-operation with session control and data monetisation specialist, Tango Telecom.

“Cerillion’s convergent charging and billing technology is a key enabler for us to differentiate our services and maximise the return on the investments we have made in our fixed and mobile network infrastructure,” said Kevin Paige, CTO of Manx Telecom. “Cerillion is a strategic partner, and we are confident that this latest project will help us to deliver a superior customer experience and sustain a long-term competitive advantage.”

Cerillion’s Convergent Charging System is the result of an extensive product development programme and has been built, from the ground up, according to the latest industry charging specifications. “It’s great to be working with a vendor who’s adopted whole-heartedly the 3GPP standards and very encouraging to see what a difference this makes to what have historically been very complex integrations,” commented Rory O’Toole, EVP Alliances, Tango Telecom. “Cerillion’s billing and charging technology combined with our session control expertise provides a powerful foundation for the next generation of data-centric services and we are very pleased to be working together on this exciting convergence project for Manx Telecom.”

“Despite many years of industry hype, convergence has remained an unobtainable goal for most telecoms providers,” added Louis Hall, CEO, Cerillion. “With this pioneering project, Manx Telecom is once again taking the lead by consolidating their services onto one fully convergent platform, and we are delighted to be helping them achieve this goal.”
