Cerillion is once again heading to Barcelona for MWC25 for another year of telecoms and tapas at the industry’s biggest annual conference.
Every year, over a hundred thousand industry figures representing thousands of businesses descend on Barcelona for four days of thought leadership and networking.
As Cerillion marks its 25th birthday this year, we’ve been looking back at the company’s history, of which MWC (or GSM World Congress as it was once known) has been a regular fixture – we’ve been attending MWC since we started, and exhibiting for the last 20 years.
In that time, MWC has been the site of calls for Catalan independence, a two-year shutdown due to COVID, and all the latest new and exciting product launches. All this has been against a backdrop of emerging urban technologies, which have seen Barcelona become one of the world’s leading smart cities – though as some would argue, this hasn’t always been for the benefit of the city and its residents.
Despite this, in all that time, the Sagrada Família still hasn’t been finished – hopefully we’ll witness its completion in 2026!
